Curious what it’s actually like to work as a technician for Facilities Management? Here’s a real look at a typical day.
Start your day
Your day starts with a Tech24 branded van and uniform, so customers know exactly who’s showing up at their door.
Visit job sites
Most days, you’ll hit three or four job sites across Indianapolis and the surrounding area, working on everything from ovens and fryers to walk in coolers, inside restaurants, convenience stores, schools, and other businesses, independent operators and national chains alike.
Access the latest technology
You’ll work with the same technology our whole team relies on, GPS dispatching that sends the closest available technician to a job, and the Tech24 mobile app for handling work orders, pulling up resources, and connecting with a senior technician when you need a second opinion in the field.
Draw on Tech24 University training
You’ll put your Tech24 University training to work every day, and there’s always another course or certification available if you want to keep building your skills and move up.
Call it a day

TRAINING
Tech24 University
When you join the Facilities Management team, you get real training through Tech24 University, not a quick crash course. Built on CFESA principles and 24 years of practical, in the field experience, the program covers entry level through advanced instruction in electrical, gas, steam, and refrigeration for commercial appliances. Once you finish, you’ll be ready to handle commercial foodservice equipment, plumbing, and HVAC work to a real standard. Classes stay small, capped at 12 students, for a hands on learning experience that beats the old ride along and figure it out approach. You’ll learn how to stay level headed under pressure, troubleshoot on the fly, and keep equipment running reliably for the long haul.
